Public Relations Campaign.

A sustainable tourism campaign, "Walks of Kochi," in tie-up with the Kadamakkudy Panchayat, Kerala.

What was the campaign?

For our final year (2022-'23) project in the Communicative English department, we organised a campaign promoting sustainability and tourism with a primary focus on Kadamakkudy. To bring this initiative to life, our department collaborated with the Kadamakkudy Panchayat through a formal MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) signed by our department head and the Panchayat member, establishing a year-long partnership to drive meaningful impact.

How we did it?

As freshmen stepping into this new field, we immersed ourselves in understanding the region, its people, and its culture. During our study, we identified a need for more seating areas in the community. Embracing sustainability, we crafted durable seats from repurposed SUV tyres and delivered them to the Panchayat. Although time constraints limited the duration of our campaign, we concluded the impactful 4-month initiative with a seminar that highlighted our findings and efforts.

What was my role?

I was an active member of the media team, primarily contributing to the photography department. However, I also collaborated with the social media team, assisting in content creation and strategy. Together, we successfully covered all the events and ensured the timely delivery of high-quality content to the media team for publication.
